(Edit: I thought this could go without saying, but the amount of messages I’ve received from people calling me a liar has convinced me to address this publicly. 
You guys are right. Stan Lee did not appear in most of the X-men/Wolverine films, Ghost Rider, Electra, Punisher, etc. That’s not only because he didn’t create most of those characters, but also because those films were co-productions between Marvel Entertainment and the likes of FOX, Sony, Lionsgate, etc., with whom production and licensing costs are shared.
Marvel Studios’ exclusive productions, whose films are released by Disney, include every film released within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sure, Stan Lee didn’t create Captain America either, but he was responsible for reviving the character in silver age Marvel comics and introducing him into the Avengers.
